VERSES TO DEAL WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.

by Dennis Kelly

2004

The mind, the will and the emotions are included in the soul. Heal the soul and the mind should also be healed.

A dear friend was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. I went to the Bible to see what God's word says. When I began my research, the Bible verses were not making much sense to me so I asked the Lord to explain them to me. The Holy Spirit answered me so emphatically that I am going to tell you the answer first and then explain what I found in the Bible.

AN ANSWER TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.

To cure Alzheimer's Disease someone who loves the patient should read to him/her the 23rd Psalm out loud and in full each day. For better results the person reading the Psalm should be a loving Christian. I do not know how long it will take for improvement to be seen. It will vary with each patient. I tried it on one patient. The last report that I received was that her mind seemed sharp.

Psalms 23:

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Prayer:

Dear God, in the Name of Jesus, I ask you to restore the soul of my loved one. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Comment:

When I asked the Lord about Alzheimer's disease, the response was loud and clear. I did not ask about other forms of dementia or about the effects of stroke. However, the 23rd Psalm should work in these cases.

Paul says (Philippians 2:5) that as Christians we should have the mind of Christ. If we have the mind of Christ, then we will not have dementia.

As you read through Proverbs and Psalms, you see that if the mind, the will and/or the subconscious are stricken, you need to heal the soul. Scriptures that refer to restoring or completing the soul should be effective in combating Alzheimer's disease.

The Scriptures that I found have been organized into 6 categories: Hope, Promise, Commands, Prayer, Thanksgiving, and Praise. You need to hope in the Lord and claim his promises for what he has promised he is also able to perform. Romans 4:18-21. You need to pray in expectation that the Lord will hear and

answer your prayers, 1 John 5:14-15. Be careful for nothing; but every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

I have listed the verses that I found and have offered some additional prayers and comments.

Hope

Have mercy on me, Oh Lord. For I am in trouble.

Mine eye is consumed with grief yea my soul and my belly.

Comment:

The 91st Psalm is referred to as the Protection Psalm. By reading and claiming the promises of this Psalm many report supernatural protection and help in time of need.

Psalms 91:

He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisesome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust: his truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day. Nor for the pestilence that

walks in darkness nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand but it shall not come near me. Only with my eyes shall I see the reward of the wicked.

Because I have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation; there shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone. I

shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall I trample under feet.

Because you have set your love upon me, therefore will I deliver you: I will set you on high, because you have known my name. You shall call upon me and I will answer you: I will be with you in trouble; I will deliver you and honor you. With a long life will I satisfy you and show you my salvation.

You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
