(Encouragement and Hope for Parents and babies.)

A waitress at a cafe on Camano Island, Washington became pregnant.  She often brings me breakfast and she is special to me.  I am not the father.  I do not have any children.  You could say that I do not know anything about babies.  You would be right.  However, my God knows all about babies.  Do not believe me, believe God.  I   looked in the Bible to find what God says (His word is truth. John 17:16) to provide hope and encouragement for parents and babies.  I have listed what I found.

Babies are made in the image of God:  both boys and girls.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) (King James Version of the Bible.)  Then God said:  "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

God commanded Adam and Eve to have babies and populate the Earth.  God never countermanded this order.
Genesis 1:27-28 (KJV)   So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;  male and female created he them.  28 And God blessed them, and God said to them:  "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

God did not say that having babies and raising them would be easy.
Genesis 3:16 (NIV) (New International Version of the bible.)  To the woman he said:  "I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.  Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

Babies are created with God's understanding.
Genesis 3:20 (NIV)  Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all the living.   Genesis  4:1 (NIV)   Adam lay with his wife Eve and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain.  She said:  "With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man."

God gives you children.
Genesis 33:4-5. (KJV)  Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him:  and they wept.  5.  And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children: and said:  "Who are those with thee?"  And He said:  "The children which God hath graciously given thy servant."

You may choose life for your baby in every circumstance from conception to the grave.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (KJV)  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:  therefore you choose life that both you and your seed may live.  20  That thou may love the Lord thy God, and that thou may obey his voice, and that thou may cleave unto him:  for he is life, and the length of thy days; that thou may dwell in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them.

God's promise is that if you will serve him, you will have babies.
Exodus 23:25-26 (KJV)  You shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.  26  There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.

At any age God can help you to have babies.
Hebrews 11:11 (KJV)  Through faith also Sarah herself (Who was 90 years old.) received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him (God) faithful who had promised.

God knows your baby even before conception.
Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)  Before I (God) formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God knows but you do not know how babies grow in the womb.
Ecclesiastes 11:5 (KJV)  As thou know not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child:  even so thou knows not the works of the God who makes all.

From conception babies are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalms 139:13-14 (KJV)  For thou (God) hast possessed my reins:  thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14  I will praise thee;  for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:  marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well.

It was God that caused the union of the sperm and the egg.
Isaiah 44:2 (KJV)  Thus says the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee:  "Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jerusalem, whom I have chosen."

God formed the baby in the womb from conception throughout his development.
Isaiah 49:5 (KJV)  "And now,"  says the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him,  "Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength."

Isaiah 43:7 (KJV)  ... I (God) have created him for my glory.  I have formed him;  yea, I have made him.

Isaiah 43:1 (KJV)  Now thus says the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel,  "Fear not:  for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by name; thou art mine."

Isaiah 46:3 (KJV)  Hearken unto me (God), O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

God will bless you not only with your own blessings but also the blessings of your father and extend your blessings to your children.
Genesis 49:25-26 (KJV) the God of thy father, who shall help thee, and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with the blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:  26 the blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills:  they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren..

If you obey God your children will be blessed.
Deuteronomy 7:13 (KJV)   He (God) will love thee, and bless thee:  he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he swore unto thy fathers to give them.

If you will listen to the voice of God, he will bless you and your children.
Deuteronomy 28:1-4  (KJV)  It shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  2  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shall hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.  3  Blessed shall thou be in the city and blessed shall thou be in the field.  4.  Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

God is present at birth and gives hope to babies.
Psalms 22:9 (KJV)  Thou art he (God) that took me out of the womb:  thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

Many children are a blessing from God.
Psalms 127:4-5 (KJV)  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  5  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:  they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Deuteronomy 28:11 (KJV)  And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit off thy ground, in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

Deuteronomy 30:8-9 (KJV)  And thou shall return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.  9  And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good :  for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers.

It is child like faith that will get you to heaven.  Watch  your children and learn.
Luke 18:15-17 (KJV)  And they brought unto him infants, that he would touch them:  but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.  But Jesus called them unto him, and said:  "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not:  for of such is the kingdom of God.  Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein."

God, who knows everything, did not imagine that you would sacrifice your children to Ba'al, Molech or any other god.
Jeremiah 32:35 (KJV)  And they built high places of Ba'al, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

God has a plan for you and your children.
Jeremiah 29:11-14  (NIV)  "For I (God) know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  12  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, ad I will listen to you.  13  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  14  I will be found by you."  declares the Lord.
